We built the photo booth we would want to rent ourselves: no wobbly tripod and no cable clutter, but a round screen with a light ring on a slim stand that looks good in any room. Inside is a real Canon DSLR, so photos stay sharp even in dim party lighting. We deliver and set up across Berlin and Brandenburg.

We didn't like what the market had to offer: wobbly iPad mounts on tripods, tablet cameras that fail in party lighting, and software far more complicated than it needs to be. We wanted something better.

The 030Box is our answer: a round screen with a light ring on a slim stand, a real Canon DSLR (24 megapixels), RGB lighting in any color and a dye-sublimation printer that delivers lab quality in under 10 seconds. Everything sits in one compact unit without a mess of cables.

The hardware was solid, but the software was too limited for me. With my background in business informatics, I thought we could do more. So we started coding our own features: AI backgrounds, session galleries and challenge modes for events.

We rent out the 030Box and keep developing its software ourselves. If you need a feature that doesn't exist yet, we can often build it. The galleries run on German servers and AI styles on our own computer in Germany, GDPR-compliant and without third-party cloud services.

We know you have better things to do on event day than run cables. That's why we work exclusively with full service, for weddings, birthdays and company events in Berlin.

1. Check Availability

Check the calendar to see if the 030Box is still available on your date and send an inquiry.

Check availability: The calendar on the website shows which dates are still free and which are already booked.

With one click you send a non-binding booking request. We reply within 24 hours, usually much faster, and confirm whether your date works.

Personal consultation: Questions about layout design, setup location, technical details or special requests? We're happy to advise you. Every location is different, so we look at yours and find a setup that fits.

Cancellation and rescheduling: Cancellation is free up to 30 days before the event. From 30 to 14 days before, 50% of the total is due, after that 100%. Moving to another date is usually possible.

2. Full-Service Delivery

No self-pickup. We deliver, set up, brief you and collect the box the next day or by arrangement.

Delivery & setup: We usually arrive 60-90 minutes before your event starts. Setting up the 030Box and testing everything takes about 45-60 minutes. You don't need to prepare anything, and we can bring a barrier rope if you like.

On-site briefing: After setup we show you (or someone you trust) how the box works. It takes about 10 minutes, and after that every guest can use it without help.

During the event the box runs on its own. If something does come up, which is rare, you can reach us by phone.

Pickup: We collect the box the next day or at an agreed time and take everything down in about 30 minutes. All that's left for you is to enjoy the photos.

3. Party Hard

Your guests take unlimited photos and boomerangs and print their favorite shots right away.

Unlimited photos: With 50 guests or 300, everyone can take as many photos as they like. There are no per-photo fees.

Instant prints in under 10 seconds: Shortly after the photo is taken, your guest holds the print in their hands, color-accurate and with your own layout (logo, date, personal text).

Various modes: Besides classic photos there are boomerang loops (4-image sequence) and mosaic collages. Guests choose the mode themselves.

Props & accessories: We bring a selection of classic props (glasses, hats, signs). You can also bring your own or ask for themed props.

4. Digital Gallery

1-2 days after the event you'll receive a link to a password-protected online gallery with all images.

All images in high resolution: After the event we upload all photos to a private online gallery. These are the original shots in full resolution, not the print versions, so they work well for sharing or reprints.

Password protected: Only you and your guests (with the password you set) can open the gallery. Nothing is published publicly.

Download & share: Guests can download single images or all at once. Depending on the settings, the gallery stays online for 10 to 90 days, or up to a year on request, so please save your photos in time.

Additional features: If you like, the gallery can be opened via QR code at the party. We can also run a slideshow on a screen so everyone sees the latest shots live.

Do you operate a franchise or license model?

No. We, Julian and Steffi, run all locations ourselves.

With many other providers you don't rent from the people who built the system but from franchisees or license partners. Quality, software versions and service then often depend on who happens to set up.

Every box belongs to us. Setup is done by us or by our permanently employed, trained staff in the Berlin-Brandenburg region. All boxes run the same software, which we develop and improve ourselves. That keeps quality and service consistent.

Can I pick up the 030Box myself?

No, we only offer full service.

The 030Box isn't a device you just take home and plug in. The camera has to be set up, the lighting aligned and the software configured for your event, and every location has different light and room conditions. That takes some experience.

We deliver, set up and configure everything, and collect the box the next day or by arrangement. If something does happen during your event, we can usually help right away via remote maintenance.

Do I pay for two days if the box is taken down after midnight?

No. It counts as one booking day, even if takedown is after midnight.

One booking day means setup to takedown in one go. If we set up on Saturday at 4 PM and pick up on Sunday at 2 AM, you pay for one day.

Flexible takedown: We can collect the box right after your event (e.g. at 2 AM) or the next morning (e.g. at 10 AM), whichever suits you and the venue better. The price stays the same.

Multi-day events: Only if the box stays set up for several days (e.g. Friday to Sunday at a trade fair) do we charge for several days, since you use it the whole time.

For example: wedding on Saturday, setup in the afternoon, party until 2 AM, takedown on Sunday at 11 AM so the venue can clean up. You pay for one day, because for us it is one booking.

Can companies book on invoice?

Yes. Companies receive an individual quote and can pay by invoice by arrangement.

Companies often have different requirements than private customers: print designs in their corporate identity at trade fairs, User Consent (GDPR) at staff events, fixed setup times at Christmas parties. We put together a quote that covers these points.

Payment: Normally a 30% deposit reserves the date and the balance is due 7 days before the event. For companies, payment by invoice can be agreed. Purchase order numbers and cost center references are no problem.

What we need: Company name, address and VAT ID if required. For larger companies we can also work with a framework agreement or your own contract terms and adapt to your procurement process.

Trade fairs and multi-day events: For longer bookings (3-5 days) we offer package prices, which are often better value than daily rates.

When does setup occur?

Usually 60-90 minutes before the event starts. Other times are possible.

We arrive about 60-90 minutes before the first guests. Setup itself takes about 45-60 minutes, which leaves time to align the camera, test the lighting and check that everything works.

We agree on the exact time with you or directly with the venue. Many locations have fixed time windows (e.g. "from 2 PM"), and we work around them.

Early start: If your event starts at 9 AM, we can set up the evening before so the box is ready in the morning.

Late start: If your party starts at 10 PM, we come at around 8:30 PM, on weekends and holidays too.

For venues farther out (e.g. anywhere in Brandenburg), we plan extra time so we arrive on time even with traffic.

Who handles the setup?

Our team handles the complete setup personally to ensure functionality. Exceptions are communicated and coordinated with you in advance.

Is the 030Box stable?

Yes. The box stands on a stable base and has come through many events without damage. We check all connections before every setup.

How long do setup and takedown take?

Setup takes about 45-60 minutes, depending on location and backdrop. Takedown takes about 30 minutes.

How is the 030Box operated?

A large touchscreen shows the preview image. Guests tap it to start the countdown, the camera triggers automatically and then shows the photo.

What size are the printed photos?

Standard prints are postcard format (10x15cm). Photo strips are 5x15cm and typically hold 4 images.

Does someone need to supervise the box?

Usually not. The box is self-explanatory.

How it works: The large touchscreen shows a live preview. A guest taps it, the countdown runs (3-2-1), the camera takes the photo and shows it on screen. There are no complicated menus, so it works even after a few drinks.

When is supervision useful? At corporate events with extra features (AI backgrounds, User Consent, branding), a person on site can help. The technology isn't complicated, but guests have questions like "How do I get my photo?" or "Can I print more than one?".

Supervision can be booked for a few hours. Please mention it when booking so we can include it in the quote.

Even without supervision, you can reach us by phone and we can help via remote maintenance if something comes up.

What is needed for setup?

A power outlet and about 1x1 meter of space. We bring an extension cord.

Power: A standard 230V outlet within about 15 meters. The box needs about 300 watts, less than an electric kettle. If the outlet is farther away, please let us know beforehand and we'll bring a longer cable.

Space: The box itself is compact (approx. 40x40 cm footprint). With the backdrop, plan about 1x1 meter in total. A corner or a wall works best.

Ceiling height: At least 2.20 meters, as the box is about 2 meters tall. Please tell us beforehand about sloped ceilings.

Any level floor works, whether parquet, tiles or carpet. The stable base spreads the weight evenly.

Can the 030Box be used outdoors?

Yes, in good weather, but only under a tent.

Why a tent? Rain is one reason, but direct sunlight is the bigger problem. Camera and flash are set up for controlled light. When the sun shines on guests from behind, you get harsh shadows and overexposed areas. Under a tent the light stays even and the photos stay well lit.

Guests stand under the tent while being photographed, not out in the blazing sun. We can provide a tent on request (surcharge depending on size). In strong wind or thunderstorms we have to stop or move to an indoor location.

Can the appearance of prints be customized?

Yes, completely. Choose from 500+ templates or use your own design.

Layout catalog: After booking you get access to our online catalog with over 500 print templates, sorted by category: weddings (romantic, elegant, classic), birthdays (colorful, fun), corporate (minimalist, professional) and parties or festivals.

Your own design: You can also send us your own design (Photoshop, Illustrator, PDF). Just tell us where the photo should go (position and size). We build the template and send you a preview before the event.

Logo, text, date, names, colors, fonts, borders and background patterns can all be customized, from a plain photo to elaborate layouts with several photos, text and graphics.

Photo strip or postcard? Photo strips (5x15cm) are vertical and usually hold 3-4 photos. Postcards (10x15cm) are horizontal with one large or several small photos.

Revisions: We send you a preview and you can ask for changes. Usually 2-3 rounds are enough, at no extra charge.

Does the box work in dark rooms?

Yes. The 030Box has a built-in studio flash.

Like at a photographer's: The flash is the kind professional photographers use and is set up to light faces evenly, even in a very dark room.

Why this matters: Event lighting is often dark (disco lights, candles, mood lighting). Phone and tablet booths struggle with this. With a DSLR and flash, faces stay sharp and well lit.

Bright rooms: It also works the other way round. If the location is very bright (e.g. daylight through large windows), the camera adjusts automatically.

What is the quality of prints and files?

DSLR photos with 24 megapixels, printed by dye-sublimation in lab quality.

The camera: We use a Canon DSLR with an APS-C sensor, a real reflex camera instead of a webcam or phone. The resolution is easily enough for large prints (up to A3) or social media.

The prints: Dye-sublimation printers work differently from regular inkjet printers. The color is transferred into the paper with heat instead of being sprayed on. That gives rich colors that don't smudge or fade, and the prints last for years.

Digital files: 1-2 days after the event you receive a download link to all photos in full resolution (approx. 6000x4000 pixels). The files are uncompressed and ready for reprints or social media.

What is the User Consent function?

Guests decide before each photo whether it may be publicly shown.

How it works: The User Consent module is optional and activated on request. Before shooting, a question appears on the touchscreen: "May this photo appear in the public gallery?" The guest selects "Yes" or "No."

What happens to private images? Photos that weren't approved don't appear on the slideshow, not in the mosaic, and not in the public session gallery. The guest still receives their QR code or email link for personal download.

Why is this important? GDPR compliance for corporate events. Not everyone wants to appear on screen. This function gives every guest control over their photos and gives you, as the client, legal certainty. Upon image delivery, non-approved photos are marked so you know exactly which images you may use.

How many prints are possible?

Depends on your package: 400 prints or unlimited.

Print package (postcards 10×15cm): 400 high-quality prints included, one print per shot. For events with about 80-120 guests, this usually suffices easily. If you need more, you can pre-order prints (price on request).

Photo strip flatrate (5×15cm): Unlimited prints for the duration of the event. Up to 32 strips per shot are possible, so every guest in the picture can take one home.

Digital package: Unlimited photos without print function. A good fit for purely digital events or if you want to order prints yourself later.

What happens when exceeded? With the print package, you can't make more prints on-site when the 400 are used up. We show you during the event on the touchscreen how many prints remain.

Are there travel fees?

Within Berlin & Brandenburg: free.

Free zone: Within the radius of our Berlin service location, travel is included in the price. This covers Berlin (complete) and Brandenburg (up to about 50 km around Berlin).

Outside the zone: For locations more than 10 km from the nearest delivery location, we charge a fair surcharge based on distance and travel time. For an event in Cottbus or Magdeburg, for example, contact us for a custom quote.

Why this surcharge? Travel means for us: outbound trip, setup, next day takedown and return trip. With larger distances, time adds up. We calculate this fairly and transparently.

Can multiple prints per session be made?

Yes, this can be set up after prior arrangement.

Are the images saved and shared?

Yes. You get a download link by email 1-2 days after the event. Guests can also download their photos via QR code right away.

How it works: Every photo is saved on the box automatically. 1-2 days after your event you receive an email with a download link to all images in full resolution (approx. 6000x4000 pixels).

QR code function: On request we activate QR code sharing. After each photo a QR code appears on the touchscreen. Guests scan it with their phone and go straight to their photo, without an app or registration, so they can share it on Instagram or WhatsApp right away.

Email sharing: Alternatively, guests can enter their email address on the touchscreen and receive the photo as an attachment within a few minutes. Practical for grandma, who doesn't have a smartphone.

Session gallery: If you like, we set up a session gallery, a website showing all photos from your event. Password-protected or public, your choice. Depending on the settings, the gallery stays online for 10 to 90 days, or up to a year on request, and is then deleted automatically (GDPR).

Privacy: Guests decide themselves whether their photo is shown publicly (User Consent function). Private photos only go to the guest, not in the public gallery.

Are prices inclusive or exclusive of VAT?

The stated prices are subject to statutory VAT.

What accessories are included?

About 30-50 props per event: glasses, hats, wigs, signs, inflatable instruments.

Standard accessories: Funny glasses (oversized, heart-shaped, neon), hats (cowboy, top hat, party), boas, inflatable guitars/saxophones, signs with sayings ("Best Day Ever", "Just Married", etc.), mustaches and lips on sticks.

Event-specific: For weddings, we bring romantic accessories (Mr. & Mrs. signs, heart glasses). For birthdays, it can be wild (disco wigs, neon colors). For corporate events, we keep it more restrained.

Hygiene: We clean all accessories after each event. Wigs are washed, glasses disinfected, props checked. Nobody wants to wear someone else's sweaty hat.

If you want it colorful and wild, let us know: we have disco wigs, animal costumes and unicorn horns. If it should stay elegant, we pick the props accordingly.

What is AI background removal?

AI replaces the background, no green screen needed.

How it works: Our self-developed AI analyzes the photo and automatically separates people from the background. Then a new background is inserted: a beach, a skyline, your company logo or whatever you like.

Why no green screen? Green screens are expensive, bulky, and images often look unnatural (hard edges, green fringes). Our AI solution only needs a normal wall or simple background. Results are clean and natural.

Where does the AI run? Photos are taken and printed right at the booth. The AI processing runs on our own computer at our location in Germany, not on a third-party cloud service. For this, the 030Box needs internet on site, either WiFi or our LTE hotspot.

When is this useful? Corporate events with branding, weddings with dream beach backdrop, trade fairs with product backgrounds. Anywhere the real background is boring or unsuitable.

Which backgrounds work with AI removal?

Any images: beaches, skylines, logos, custom designs.

Standard backgrounds: We have a library of professional backgrounds with beaches, cities, sunsets and abstract patterns. You choose before the event what fits your occasion.

Custom backgrounds: You can also send us your own images, such as your company logo, your wedding motif or a specific location. Important: resolution should be at least 4000x3000 pixels so it doesn't look pixelated.

Modes: You decide how backgrounds are changed. Fixed background for all photos? Changing backgrounds with each session? Or completely random as a surprise for guests? All possible.

Corporate events: Especially popular at trade fairs and corporate events. Logo in the background, your products in the picture, your CI colors: it all helps with branding.

What happens if accessories break during the event?

Normal wear and tear is included. We bring plenty of backup props.

What we expect: Accessories get used at parties, so they get bent, dirty or break. We've already factored that in. Hats get squashed, glasses lose arms, boas lose feathers. That's normal.

What we bring along: We pack about 50-70% more props than would theoretically be needed. If something breaks early in the evening, there's still plenty in reserve.

What's not cool: Intentional destruction or theft. If an entire prop box disappears or everything is destroyed (smashed glasses, torn fabrics), we charge for the damage. But that's extremely rare, and 99% of events run without any issues.

After the event: We go through the props. Light damage (smudged lipstick, dents) is handled by us. Heavy damage is charged for replacement cost.

What is the slideshow function?

Photos displayed in real-time on projector, TV, or screen. Via browser, no cables.

How it works: Every photo taken at the booth automatically appears seconds later on a screen in the room. You don't need a USB stick or cable, because the slideshow runs in the browser. All you need is a TV, projector or screen with internet access.

Why guests like it: They see the photos live on the big screen. Someone takes a funny photo with props, and 10 seconds later the whole room sees it. That gets more people to try the photo booth.

Customizable: Photos can appear in chronological order, randomly, or with fade effects. Display duration per photo is adjustable (3, 5, 10 seconds). Logo or text overlay optional.

Privacy-compliant: Only photos that guests approved (User Consent function) appear in the slideshow. Private photos remain private.

Technical requirements: The screen needs WiFi or LAN connection. We set up everything on site, you just need to give us access to the TV or projector.

What are mosaic images?

All event photos automatically combined into one large image. Updates live.

How it works: Imagine a poster where all your event photos gradually come together. With every new photo taken at the photo booth, the mosaic grows. After 100 photos you have a 10x10 grid, one large image made up of all the individual photos.

Live display: The mosaic can be shown on a TV, projector or screen in the room. Guests watch it grow over the evening, which is especially fun at the beginning when the first photos appear.

Customizable: You decide how the mosaic looks. Classic grid? Random arrangement? With or without frame around each photo? Logo in the corner? Color of background? Everything is adjustable.

For printing: After the event you get the finished mosaic in high resolution, ready to print as a poster (A1, A0) for your wall. Many couples hang the wedding mosaic in the hallway.

Can the LED color be customized?

Yes. The light ring of the 030Box glows in almost any RGB color. We can set it to your CI color or use a color-changing mode (Party Mode).

Do I need WiFi?

Helpful but not mandatory. We have LTE backup.

What works without WiFi: The 030Box takes, prints, and saves photos without internet. These basic functions always run, whether WiFi is available or not.

What needs WiFi: AI backgrounds, because the AI runs on our own computer in Germany. Instant sharing via email or QR code. Session gallery for guests. Slideshow on external screens. And: remote maintenance.

Remote maintenance as advantage: With WiFi, we can immediately connect to the box during technical problems and help. Without WiFi, we must go through things by phone or come on-site. WiFi saves time in emergencies.

No WiFi available? No problem. We bring an LTE hotspot (on request, possible surcharge). This way all online features work anyway.

Is there a deposit?

Yes, 30% deposit at booking. Balance 7 days before event.

Why deposit? We reserve the date exclusively for you and decline other inquiries for that day. The deposit (30% of total) secures the booking bindingly.

Payment timeline:
- At booking: 30% deposit via bank transfer
- 7 days before event: remaining balance (70%) due
- Corporate clients: invoice payment possible (by arrangement)

What happens with failure? If we cannot deliver for technical reasons (has never happened!), we refund the deposit fully. For cancellation from your side, cancellation terms apply (see separate FAQ).

Invoice: Companies and private customers both receive a proper invoice showing VAT.

What happens with cancellation or date change?

Cancellation fees depend on how early you cancel. Please cancel in writing (by email).

Cancellation periods:
- Up to 30 days before the event: free, the deposit is refunded in full
- 30 to 14 days before the event: 50% of the total amount
- Less than 14 days before the event: 100% of the total amount

Date change instead of cancellation: If you only want to postpone (e.g. the wedding to next year), moving to a replacement date is usually possible, provided the new date is still free. We always try to find a solution.

In case of force majeure (e.g. officially ordered event bans), we agree on an individual arrangement.

Why fees? With short-notice cancellations we usually can't rebook the date. The fees cover our planning costs and the bookings we turned down.

How long do the images stay online?

Depending on the settings, 10 to 90 days, or up to a year if you ask for it. After that they are deleted automatically, in line with GDPR.

What gets deleted? The images in the online gallery (the session gallery guests open in their browser) are deleted from our servers automatically and permanently once the period ends.

Why the time limit? Photos showing faces are personal data and shouldn't be stored indefinitely. Most people download their pictures within the first few days anyway.

How do you keep the images? 1-2 days after the event you receive an email with a download link to all photos in full resolution. Download them in time and save them on your computer, a USB stick or a cloud service (Dropbox, Google Drive, etc.).

Reminder? Yes, about 7 days before the gallery expires you get an email reminding you that the images will soon be deleted.

Can I get the images after deletion? No. Once deleted, the images are gone for good, for us too. So please download them in time.

How far in advance must I book?

At least 2-3 weeks recommended. Last-minute often possible.

Ideal lead time: 2-3 weeks give us enough time for print layout coordination, venue coordination, and event configuration. The earlier you book, the more relaxed the planning.

Consider high season: May through September is wedding season. On weekends, we're often booked weeks in advance. Anyone marrying during this time should book as early as possible.

Last-minute possible? Yes, often. If you need a photo booth short-notice (under 2 weeks), contact us directly via WhatsApp or phone. We'll check availability immediately. In many cases we can deliver at short notice, provided a box is available.

Corporate events more flexible: During the week, we usually have more capacity than on weekends. Corporate events can therefore often be realized even short-notice.

What happens if the box fails during the event?

Has never happened. If it does: remote maintenance or refund.

Preventive testing: Before every booking we test the whole box: camera, printer, flash, software and network. That's why there hasn't been a complete failure in recent years.

Support during the event: At setup you receive our phone number, so you can reach us right away if there is a problem. With WiFi we can connect via remote maintenance and solve most problems within minutes, without anyone having to come on site.

What about hardware defects? If, for example, the printer fails, the rest still works (taking photos, digital download). Only printing is missing then.

Worst-case scenario: If the box completely fails and we can't solve it via remote maintenance, there's a proportional refund based on downtime. Example: Box fails after 3 of 5 hours = 40% refund.

How exactly does image release work?

Guest decides on touchscreen: public or private.

Process: After the photo, a question appears on the touchscreen: "May this image be shown in the public gallery?" The guest selects "Yes" or "No."

Public images: Appear in the session gallery, on the slideshow and in the mosaic, wherever images are shown live. Every guest can see them.

Private images: Are only accessible via personal QR code or email link. They don't appear anywhere publicly. Only the guest themselves and you as client have access.

What do you get as client? All images, both public and private. In the file structure, private images are marked (e.g., in separate folder or with designation). This way you know exactly which images you may use for marketing or social media.

When is this useful? Corporate events where data protection is important. Weddings where not everyone wants to appear on social media. Whenever GDPR compliance is required.

What payment methods do you accept?

Bank transfer, PayPal. Invoice payment for companies.

Standard payment: Private customers pay by bank transfer or PayPal. After booking confirmation, we send an invoice with our bank details. PayPal also possible upon request (small surcharge due to PayPal fees).

Payment schedule: 30% deposit upon booking confirmation, 70% remaining balance at latest 7 days before the event. This secures your date and gives us planning security.

Companies: Payment by invoice is possible by arrangement. Purchase order numbers are no problem.

Why deposit? Bookings reserve a date exclusively for you. If someone cancels short-term, we often can't re-book. The deposit secures us and you.

Other payment methods? Cash payment on-site is not possible. Card payment also not. This keeps our accounting simple and we can keep prices low.

Can we test the software and print layout beforehand?

Yes. Preview of print layout, video call for software demonstration possible.

Print layout preview: After booking, we create your print layout (postcard or photo strip) and send it as PDF for approval. You see exactly what the prints will look like, with your logo, text, colors and fonts. Revision rounds included until you're satisfied.

Software features: If you want to see how the touchscreen works, how guests select filters, or how User Consent works, we can arrange a video call. We show you the software live on screen and answer your questions.

Test photos: We create sample photos with your layout so you can see what a finished print looks like. These samples help especially with complex layouts (multiple photos, graphics, texts).

On-site test? Picking up the box beforehand for testing isn't possible (see "Can I pick up the 030Box myself?"). During setup on event day, though, we test everything with you. You can take test photos, see how it works and ask questions.

We always arrive about 60-90 minutes before the event starts. That leaves time for testing and adjustments before your guests arrive.
