Let's be honest: We didn't like what the market had to offer. Wobbly iPad mounts on tripods, tablet cameras that fail in party lighting, and software way more complicated than it needs to be. Something better had to exist.

The 030Box is that kind of compact system: Real Canon DSLR (24 megapixels), customizable RGB lighting, dye-sublimation printer delivering lab quality in 9 seconds. No cable mess, no hassle.

The hardware itself? Solid. But the software was too limited for me. With my background in business informatics, I thought: "We can do more." So we started coding our own features – AI background removal, session galleries, challenge modes for events.

Our advantage: We don't just rent equipment, we develop it further. Need a feature that doesn't exist? We can build it. Everything runs on German servers, is GDPR-compliant, and stays under our control. No overseas cloud services, no data harvesting nonsense.

Send inquiry: With one click you send a non-binding booking request. We'll respond within 24 hours (usually much faster) and confirm availability.

Personal consultation: Have questions about your event? We're happy to advise you on layout design, setup location, technical details or special requests. Every location is different – we'll find the best solution for your event.

Flexible until the end: Sometimes plans change. You can reschedule or cancel free of charge up to 14 days before the event. After that, fair cancellation terms apply.

2. Full-Service Delivery

No self-pickup! We deliver, set up, brief you, and dismantle the next day.

Delivery & Setup: We arrive at your location about 2-3 hours before the event starts, professionally set up the 030Box and cable everything. You don't need to prepare anything – we even bring a barrier rope if desired.

On-site briefing: After setup, we show you (or a trusted person) how the box works in 10 minutes. After that, every guest can operate it without problems – easy as pie, we promise.

No stress on event day: While your guests celebrate, the box runs completely autonomously. No rebooting, no technical problems. If something should happen (extremely rare), you can reach us by phone.

Dismantling the next day: The next day (or by arrangement) we pick up the box again and dismantle everything. You don't have to worry about anything – except enjoying the photos.

3. Party Hard

Your guests take unlimited photos, boomerangs and print the best snapshots directly.

Unlimited usage: There are no limits. Whether 50 guests or 300 – everyone can take as many photos as they want. No fine print, no hidden costs per print.

Instant print in 8 seconds: Photo taken → 8 seconds later your guest holds the printout in their hands. High quality, color-accurate, with individual layout (your logo, date, personal text – everything is possible).

Various modes: In addition to classic photos, there are boomerang loops (4-image sequence) and mosaic collages. Your guests decide which mode they want to use.

Props & accessories: We provide a selection of classic photo props (glasses, hats, signs). If desired, you can also bring your own or book themed props.

4. Digital Gallery

The next day you'll receive a link to a password-protected online gallery with all images.

All images high-resolution: After the event, we upload all photos to a private online gallery – not the print versions, but the original recordings in full resolution (perfect for sharing or reordering).

Password protected: Only you and your guests (with the password you assign) can access the gallery. No public publication, full data control.

Download & share: Your guests can download individual images or all at once. The gallery stays online for 3 months – after that you can request a backup archive.

Additional features: You can also make the gallery accessible directly via QR code at the party (optional). Or we integrate a slideshow on a screen – so everyone sees the latest snapshots live.

Do you operate a franchise or license model?

No. We, Julian and Steffi, personally manage all locations.

Why this matters: With many other providers, you're not renting from the developer but from franchisees or license partners. This often means inconsistent quality, different software versions, and varying service – depending on who sets up.

Every box belongs to us. Setup is done either by us or our permanently employed, trained staff in Berlin, Leipzig, Halle, and Brandenburg. All boxes run the same software that we develop and continuously improve ourselves. This guarantees consistently high quality and personal service – regardless of location.

Can I pick up the 030Box myself?

No, we exclusively offer full service.

Why no self-service: The 030Box isn't a simple device you can just take and set up. The camera needs calibration, lighting must be aligned, and software configured for your event. Every location has different lighting conditions and room characteristics – this requires experience.

We deliver, set up, configure everything perfectly, and pick it up the next day. You don't have to worry about anything. In return, we guarantee everything works at your event – and if something does happen, we can help immediately via remote maintenance.

Do I pay for two days if the box is taken down after midnight?

No. One booking day, even if takedown is after midnight.

How we calculate: One booking day = setup to takedown in one go. If we set up Saturday at 4 PM and pick up Sunday at 2 AM (after midnight), you only pay for one day.

Flexible takedown: We can pick up the box directly after your event (e.g., at 2 AM) or the next morning (e.g., at 10 AM) – depending on what's more convenient for you and the venue. Price stays the same.

Multi-day events: Only if the box stays set up multiple days (e.g., Friday to Sunday at a trade fair) do we calculate multiple days. But then you use it the whole time, so that's fair.

Practical example: Wedding on Saturday. Setup at 3 PM, party until 2 AM. Takedown Sunday at 11 AM (so the venue can clean up). You pay: one day. Because for us it's one deployment.

Can companies book on invoice?

Yes. Custom quotes and invoice payment available for companies.

Why this matters: Companies often have different requirements than private customers. At trade fairs, you need CI-compliant print designs. At corporate events, you want User Consent (GDPR). At Christmas parties, you need specific setup times. We create individual quotes for that.

Invoice payment: Companies can pay by invoice. No prepayment, no PayPal. We send the invoice after the event with customary payment terms (usually 14 days). Purchase order numbers and cost center references are no problem.

What we need: Company name, address, tax ID (if desired). For larger companies: possibly a framework agreement or specific contract terms. We're flexible and adapt to your procurement processes.

Trade fairs and multi-day events: Especially with longer deployments (3-5 days), we create package prices. Let's discuss what makes sense – often we can offer more favorable conditions than with daily rates.

When does setup occur?

Usually 60-90 minutes before event start. Flexible timing possible.

Standard procedure: We arrive about 60-90 minutes before the first guests arrive. This gives us enough time to set up the box, align the camera, test the lighting, and make sure everything works.

Coordinated with venue: We coordinate the exact setup time with you or directly with the venue. Many locations have specific time windows (e.g., "from 2 PM"). We adapt to that.

Early morning setup: If your event starts at 9 AM, we can set up the evening before and pick up the next day. This way the box is ready and we don't disturb anyone in the morning.

Late night setup: No problem either. If your party starts at 10 PM, we come at 8:30 PM. We're flexible – even on weekends or holidays.

Remote locations: For venues farther away (Brandenburg, Leipzig, Halle), we plan buffer time so we're there on time even with traffic.

Who handles the setup?

Our team handles the complete setup personally to ensure functionality. Exceptions are communicated and coordinated with you in advance.

Is the 030Box stable?

Yes, absolutely. The box stands on a stable base and has survived many events unscathed. All connections are checked before each setup.

How long do setup and takedown take?

Setup takes about 45-60 minutes, depending on location and backdrop. Takedown takes about 30 minutes.

How is the 030Box operated?

A large touchscreen shows the preview image. Simply tap to start the countdown. The camera triggers automatically and then displays the photo.

What size are the printed photos?

Standard prints are postcard format (10x15cm). Photo strips are 5x15cm and typically hold 4 images.

Does someone need to supervise the box?

Usually not. Operation is self-explanatory.

How it works: Large touchscreen shows preview. Guest taps it, countdown runs (3-2-1), camera triggers, photo is displayed. Done. No complicated menu, no buttons. Works smoothly even after a few drinks.

When is supervision useful? At corporate events with complex features (AI background, User Consent, branding), supervision can help. Not because the technology is complicated, but to answer guests' questions ("How do I get my photo?", "Can I make multiple prints?").

Supervision bookable: If desired, we can have someone on-site for a few hours. This should be discussed during booking so we can calculate the costs.

Remote support always: Even without supervision, we're reachable by phone and can help via remote maintenance if something comes up.

What is needed for setup?

Power outlet + 1x1 meter space. Extension cord provided.

Power connection: A standard 230V outlet nearby (up to 15 meters). We bring a long extension cord. The box needs about 300 watts – less than an electric kettle.

Space requirement: The box itself is compact (approx. 40x40 cm footprint). With backdrop and camera, figure about 1x1 meter total area. Ideal is a corner or wall in the room.

Ceiling height: Minimum 2.20 meters. The box is about 2 meters tall. In rooms with sloped ceilings, please inform us beforehand.

Floor surface: Level floor – parquet, tiles, carpet, all no problem. The box stands on a stable base that distributes weight evenly.

For greater distances: If the outlet is farther than 15 meters away, please let us know beforehand – we'll bring a longer cable.

Can the 030Box be used outdoors?

Yes, outdoor use is possible in good weather. A tent is mandatory.

Why a tent? Not just because of rain – the bigger problem is direct sunlight. The camera and flash are calibrated for specific lighting conditions. When the sun shines from behind on guests, harsh shadows and overexposed areas appear. In a tent, we have controlled light and can guarantee perfectly lit images.

Guests stand under the tent while being photographed – not outside in blazing sun. We can provide a tent upon request (surcharge depending on size). Important: In strong wind or thunderstorms, we must cancel the event or move to an indoor location.

Can the appearance of prints be customized?

Yes, completely. 500+ templates or your own design.

Layout catalog: After booking, you get access to our online catalog with over 500 professional print templates. Wedding layouts (romantic, elegant, classic), birthday layouts (colorful, fun), corporate layouts (minimalist, professional), event layouts (party, festival). Sorted by category, easily searchable.

Your own design: You can also send us your own design (Photoshop, Illustrator, PDF). Important: tell us where the photo should go (position and size). We'll create the template and show you a preview before the event.

What's customizable? Logo, text, date, names, colors, fonts, borders, background patterns – everything. From minimalist (just the photo) to elaborate (multiple photos, text, graphics).

Photo strip or postcard? Layouts differ by format. Photo strips (5x15cm) are vertical and often hold 3-4 photos. Postcards (10x15cm) are horizontal and usually have 1 large or several small photos.

Revision rounds: We create the layout, send a preview, you can request changes. Usually 2-3 revision rounds are enough. No extra charge for this – it's part of the service.

Does the box work in dark rooms?

Yes, perfectly. Professional studio flash built-in.

Like at a photographer's: The 030Box has a studio flash, like professional photographers use. The flash is calibrated to evenly illuminate faces – even if the room is pitch black.

Why this matters: At events, lighting is often dark (disco lights, candles, mood lighting). Phone photobooths struggle with this. Our DSLR + flash combination handles it perfectly – photos look like daylight.

Also in bright light: Conversely, it works the same way. If the location is too bright (e.g., daylight through large windows), the camera automatically adjusts down. You always get optimally lit images.

What is the quality of prints and files?

DSLR photos with 24 megapixels. Dye-sublimation printing in lab quality.

About the camera: We use a Canon DSLR with APS-C sensor – no webcam, no phone, but real reflex technology. The resolution is easily sufficient for large-format prints (up to A3) or social media.

About the prints: Dye-sublimation printers work differently than regular inkjet printers. The color is vaporized into the paper under heat, not sprayed onto it. Result: Rich, brilliant colors, no smudging, no fading. The prints are smudge-proof and last for years.

Digital files: The day after the event, you receive all photos in full resolution (approx. 6000x4000 pixels) as a download link. The files are uncompressed and perfect for reordering prints or social media.

What is the User Consent function?

Guests decide before each photo whether it may be publicly shown.

How it works: The User Consent module is optional and activated on request. Before shooting, a question appears on the touchscreen: "May this photo appear in the public gallery?" The guest selects "Yes" or "No."

What happens to private images? Photos that weren't approved don't appear on the slideshow, not in the mosaic, and not in the public session gallery. The guest still receives their QR code or email link for personal download.

Why is this important? GDPR compliance for corporate events. Not everyone wants to appear on screen. This function gives every guest full control – and you as a client legal security. Upon image delivery, non-approved photos are marked so you know exactly which images you may use.

How many prints are possible?

Depends on your package: 400 prints or unlimited.

Print package (postcards 10×15cm): 400 high-quality prints included – one print per shot. For events with about 80-120 guests, this usually suffices easily. If you need more, you can pre-order prints (price on request).

Photo strip flatrate (5×15cm): Unlimited prints during event duration. Up to 32 strips per shot possible – ideal if you want to give each guest multiple strips. No limit here.

Digital package: Unlimited photos without print function. Perfect for purely digital events or if you want to order prints yourself later.

What happens when exceeded? With the print package, you can't make more prints on-site when the 400 are used up. We show you during the event on the touchscreen how many prints remain.

Are there travel fees?

Within Berlin, Brandenburg, Halle, and Leipzig: free.

Free zone: Within the radius of our delivery locations, travel is included in the price. This covers Berlin (complete), Brandenburg (up to about 50 km around Berlin), Halle and Leipzig with direct surroundings.

Outside the zone: For locations further than 10 km from the nearest delivery location, we charge a fair surcharge based on distance and travel time. Example: Event in Potsdam, Cottbus, or Magdeburg – contact us for a custom quote.

Why this surcharge? Travel means for us: outbound trip, setup, next day takedown and return trip. With larger distances, time adds up. We calculate this fairly and transparently.

Can multiple prints per session be made?

Yes, this can be set up after prior arrangement.

Are the images saved and shared?

Yes. Download link via email the next day. Guests can optionally download via QR code immediately.

How it works: Every photo taken is automatically saved on the box. The day after your event, you receive an email with a download link containing all images in full resolution (approx. 6000x4000 pixels).

QR code function: Optionally, we can activate QR code sharing. After each photo, a QR code appears on the touchscreen. Guests scan it with their phone and go directly to their photo – no app, no registration needed. Perfect so guests can immediately share photos on Instagram or WhatsApp.

Email sharing: Alternatively, guests can enter their email address on the touchscreen. The photo is then sent within a few minutes as an attachment. Practical for grandma who doesn't have a smartphone.

Session gallery: If desired, we set up a session gallery – a website where all photos from your event can be viewed. Password-protected or public, your choice. The gallery is online for 90 days, then automatically deleted (GDPR).

Privacy: Guests decide themselves whether their photo is shown publicly (User Consent function). Private photos only go to the guest, not in the public gallery.

Are prices inclusive or exclusive of VAT?

The stated prices are subject to statutory VAT.

What accessories are included?

About 30-50 props per event: glasses, hats, wigs, signs, inflatable instruments.

Standard accessories: Funny glasses (oversized, heart-shaped, neon), hats (cowboy, top hat, party), boas, inflatable guitars/saxophones, signs with sayings ("Best Day Ever", "Just Married", etc.), mustaches and lips on sticks.

Event-specific: For weddings, we bring romantic accessories (Mr. & Mrs. signs, heart glasses). For birthdays, it can be wild (disco wigs, neon colors). For corporate events, we keep it more restrained.

Hygiene: We clean all accessories after each event. Wigs are washed, glasses disinfected, props checked. We take hygiene seriously – no one wants to wear someone else's sweaty hat.

Can get crazy: If you want it colorful and wild, let us know. We have disco wigs, animal costumes, unicorn horns – it can get crazy. If it should stay elegant, we adjust the props accordingly.

What is AI background removal?

AI replaces the background in 2 seconds – without green screen.

How it works: Our self-developed AI analyzes the photo and automatically separates people from the background. Then a new background is inserted – a beach, a skyline, your company logo, whatever you want.

Why no green screen? Green screens are expensive, bulky, and images often look unnatural (hard edges, green fringes). Our AI solution only needs a normal wall or simple background. Results are clean and natural.

GDPR-compliant: Processing runs locally on the box – no cloud, no external servers. Your guest data never leaves the device. This is important to us.

When is this useful? Corporate events with branding, weddings with dream beach backdrop, trade fairs with product backgrounds. Anywhere the real background is boring or unsuitable.

Standard backgrounds: We have a library of professional backgrounds – beaches, cities, sunsets, abstract patterns. You choose before the event what fits your occasion.

Custom backgrounds: You can also send us your own images – your company logo, your wedding motif, a specific location. Important: resolution should be at least 4000x3000 pixels so it doesn't look pixelated.

Modes: You decide how backgrounds are changed. Fixed background for all photos? Changing backgrounds with each session? Or completely random as a surprise for guests? All possible.

Corporate events: Especially popular at trade fairs and corporate events. Logo in background, integrate products, incorporate CI colors – perfect for branding.

What happens if accessories break during the event?

Normal wear and tear is included. We bring plenty of backup props.

What we expect: Accessories are used at parties – they get bent, dirtied, or break. We've already factored that in. Hats get squashed, glasses lose arms, boas lose feathers. Totally normal, no problem.

What we bring along: We pack about 50-70% more props than would theoretically be needed. If something breaks early in the evening, there's still plenty in reserve.

What's not cool: Intentional destruction or theft. If an entire prop box disappears or everything is destroyed (smashed glasses, torn fabrics), we calculate the damage. But that's extremely rare – 99% of events run without any issues.

After the event: We go through the props. Light damage (smudged lipstick, dents) is handled by us. Heavy damage is charged for replacement cost.

What is the slideshow function?

Photos displayed in real-time on projector, TV, or screen. Via browser, no cables.

How it works: Every photo taken at the booth automatically appears seconds later on a screen in the room. No USB stick, no cable connection – the slideshow runs via browser. You just need a TV, projector, or screen with internet access.

Why this is great: Guests see the photos live on the big screen. Someone takes a funny photo with props – 10 seconds later everyone in the room sees it. That creates atmosphere and motivates more people to use the photobooth.

Customizable: Photos can appear in chronological order, randomly, or with fade effects. Display duration per photo is adjustable (3, 5, 10 seconds). Logo or text overlay optional.

Privacy-compliant: Only photos that guests approved (User Consent function) appear in the slideshow. Private photos remain private.

Technical requirements: The screen needs WiFi or LAN connection. We set up everything on-site – you just need to provide access to the TV/projector.

What are mosaic images?

All event photos automatically combined into one large image. Updates live.

How it works: Imagine a poster where all your event photos gradually come together. With every new photo taken at the photobooth, the mosaic grows. After 100 photos, you have a 10x10 grid – a single large image composed of all individual photos.

Live display: The mosaic can be displayed on a TV, projector, or screen in the room. Guests see live how the mosaic grows over the evening – that's particularly fascinating at the beginning when the first photos appear.

Customizable: You decide how the mosaic looks. Classic grid? Random arrangement? With or without frame around each photo? Logo in the corner? Color of background? Everything is adjustable.

Perfect for printing: After the event, you get the finished mosaic in high resolution. Perfect for printing as a poster (A1, A0) or as a memory for your wall. Many couples hang the wedding mosaic in the hallway.

Can the LED color be customized?

Yes! The 030Box can light up in almost any RGB color. We can set it statically to your CI color or activate a color-changing mode (Party Mode).

Do I need WiFi?

Helpful but not mandatory. We have LTE backup.

What works without WiFi: The 030Box photographs, prints, and saves photos completely offline. Basic functions always run – whether WiFi is available or not.

What needs WiFi: Instant sharing via email or QR code. Session gallery for guests. Slideshow on external screens. And: remote maintenance.

Remote maintenance as advantage: With WiFi, we can immediately connect to the box during technical problems and help. Without WiFi, we must go through things by phone or come on-site. WiFi saves time in emergencies.

No WiFi available? No problem. We bring an LTE hotspot (on request, possible surcharge). This way all online features work anyway.

Is there a deposit?

Yes, 30% deposit at booking. Balance 7 days before event.

Why deposit? We reserve the date exclusively for you and decline other inquiries for that day. The deposit (30% of total) secures the booking bindingly.

Payment timeline:
- At booking: 30% deposit via bank transfer
- 7 days before event: remaining balance (70%) due
- Corporate clients: invoice payment possible (by arrangement)

What happens with failure? If we cannot deliver for technical reasons (has never happened!), we refund the deposit fully. For cancellation from your side, cancellation terms apply (see separate FAQ).

Invoice: You receive a proper invoice with stated VAT – for companies and private individuals.

What happens with cancellation or date change?

Tiered cancellation fees. Earlier is cheaper.

Cancellation periods:
- More than 30 days ahead: free, full refund
- 14-30 days ahead: 30% fee (you get 70% back)
- Less than 14 days: 50% fee (you get 50% back)

Date change instead of cancellation: If you only want to postpone the date (e.g., wedding to next year), no fees apply – provided a replacement date is available. We always try to find a solution.

Pandemic clause: Pandemic-related cancellations with official proof (e.g., official cancellation) are fee-free. This also applies to similar exceptional situations.

Why fees? With short-notice cancellations, we usually can't re-book the date. Fees cover our planning costs and lost bookings.

What happens to images after 90 days?

Automatic deletion after 90 days. GDPR-compliant.

What gets deleted? Images in the online gallery (session gallery that guests can see in browser) are automatically and irrevocably deleted from our servers after 90 days.

Why 90 days? GDPR requirement: Personal data (photos with faces) cannot be stored forever. After 90 days, demand has typically passed – whoever hasn't downloaded their images by then usually doesn't need them anymore.

How do you permanently save images? The day after the event, you receive an email with a download link containing all photos in full resolution. This link is valid for 90 days. Download images in time and save them on your PC, USB stick, or cloud (Dropbox, Google Drive, etc.).

Reminder? Yes, you receive a reminder email about 7 days before expiration that images will soon be deleted.

Can I get images after 90 days? No. After deletion, images are irretrievably gone – even for us. Therefore: download in time!

How far in advance must I book?

At least 2-3 weeks recommended. Last-minute often possible.

Ideal lead time: 2-3 weeks give us enough time for print layout coordination, venue coordination, and event configuration. The earlier you book, the more relaxed the planning.

Consider high season: May through September is wedding season. On weekends, we're often booked weeks in advance. Anyone marrying during this time should book as early as possible.

Last-minute possible? Yes, often. If you need a photo booth short-notice (under 2 weeks), contact us directly via WhatsApp or phone. We'll check availability immediately. In many cases, we can deliver spontaneously – provided a box is available.

Corporate events more flexible: During the week, we usually have more capacity than on weekends. Corporate events can therefore often be realized even short-notice.

What happens if the box fails during the event?

Has never happened. If it does: remote maintenance or refund.

Preventive testing: We completely test every box before each deployment – camera, printer, flash, software, network. All components are checked. That's why no complete failure has occurred in recent years.

Support during event: During setup, you receive our phone number. With problems, you can reach us immediately. With WiFi, we can connect via remote maintenance and solve most problems in minutes – without anyone having to come on-site.

What about hardware defects? If, for example, the printer fails, the rest still works (taking photos, digital download). Only printing is missing then.

Worst-case scenario: If the box completely fails and we can't solve it via remote maintenance, there's a proportional refund based on downtime. Example: Box fails after 3 of 5 hours = 40% refund.

How exactly does image release work?

Guest decides on touchscreen: public or private.

Process: After the photo, a question appears on the touchscreen: "May this image be shown in the public gallery?" The guest selects "Yes" or "No."

Public images: Appear in the session gallery, on the slideshow, in the mosaic – everywhere images are shown live. Every guest can see them.

Private images: Are only accessible via personal QR code or email link. They don't appear anywhere publicly. Only the guest themselves and you as client have access.

What do you get as client? All images – both public and private. In the file structure, private images are marked (e.g., in separate folder or with designation). This way you know exactly which images you may use for marketing or social media.

When is this useful? Corporate events where data protection is important. Weddings where not everyone wants to appear on social media. Whenever GDPR compliance is required.

What payment methods do you accept?

Bank transfer, PayPal. Invoice payment for companies.

Standard payment: Private customers pay by bank transfer or PayPal. After booking confirmation, we send an invoice with our bank details. PayPal also possible upon request (small surcharge due to PayPal fees).

Payment schedule: 30% deposit upon booking confirmation, 70% remaining balance at latest 7 days before the event. This secures your date and gives us planning security.

Companies: Invoice payment with usual payment terms (14 days after event). No prepayment necessary. Purchase order numbers possible.

Why deposit? Bookings reserve a date exclusively for you. If someone cancels short-term, we often can't re-book. The deposit secures us and you.

Other payment methods? Cash payment on-site is not possible. Card payment also not. This keeps our accounting simple and we can keep prices low.

Can we test the software and print layout beforehand?

Yes. Preview of print layout, video call for software demonstration possible.

Print layout preview: After booking, we create your print layout (postcard or photo strip) and send it as PDF for approval. You see exactly what the prints will look like – with your logo, text, colors, fonts. Revision rounds included until you're satisfied.

Software features: If you want to see how the touchscreen works, how guests select filters, or how User Consent works, we can arrange a video call. We show you the software live on screen and answer your questions.

Test photos: We create sample photos with your layout so you can see what a finished print looks like. These samples help especially with complex layouts (multiple photos, graphics, texts).

On-site test? Picking up the box beforehand for testing isn't possible (see "Can I pick up the 030Box myself?"). But: during setup on event day, we test everything with you. You can take test photos, see how it works, and ask questions.

Important: We always set up about 60-90 minutes before event start. This time is for testing and adjustment – you don't need to worry about anything being wrong.
